The 2020 Acura ILX continues its trajectory as an affordable luxury compact sedan that combines sensible features and a fuel-efficient engine. The only engine available is the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that reaches 201 horsepower and 180 lb.-ft. of torque. Engines get paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Rather than trim levels, drivers choose the base trim and can opt for a combination of optional packages. Components such as LED headlights, a sunroof, heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, smart entry, Bluetooth connectivity, and a six-speaker sound system come standard. The Premium package adds a broad range of features, such as an enhanced stereo system, leather seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, sport seats with perforated leather, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Technology has many overlapping components, but those that stand out include a GPS-linked climate control system, a navigation program, a ten-speaker sound system, and guidelines for the rearview camera system. A-Spec requires either the Premium or Technology packages and focuses on chic additions, such as LED fog lights, dark chrome details for the exterior, spoilers, A-spec insignia on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, and stainless steel sport pedals.
